Biographie

Ahmed Dari, artiste et calligraphe palestinien de Jérusalem né en 1964, figure parmi les personnalités les plus marquantes ayant contribué au renouveau de la calligraphie arabe et à son rayonnement sur les scènes culturelles arabe et européenne. Il grandit à Damas, où il effectue ses études primaires et secondaires dans l’atmosphère singulière de la vieille ville, qui façonnera profondément sa sensibilité artistique et son attachement aux arts islamiques, en particulier à la calligraphie arabe.En 1985, il s’installe en France afin de poursuivre ses études universitaires. Après avoir étudié la langue française à Lyon, il intègre l’École des Beaux-Arts de Valence, puis poursuit une spécialisation en arts graphiques et en création d’identités visuelles et de logos.Tout au long de son parcours, Ahmed Dari développe un langage artistique personnel fondé sur la lettre arabe, créant un style singulier où se rencontrent l’élégance de la tradition calligraphique et l’esprit de la modernité contemporaine. Il organise de nombreuses expositions et anime des ateliers de calligraphie arabe destinés aux enfants et aux adultes dans des centres culturels, festivals, bibliothèques et galeries d’art en France et à travers l’Europe, convaincu du rôle essentiel de cet art dans le dialogue culturel et la transmission entre les générations.Son amitié de longue date avec le poète palestinien Mahmoud Darwish a profondément nourri son univers artistique, insufflant à ses œuvres une dimension poétique et spirituelle qui renouvelle l’esthétique de la calligraphie arabe.Auteur de plusieurs ouvrages consacrés à la calligraphie arabe publiés par d’importantes maisons d’édition françaises, Ahmed Dari a également réalisé de nombreuses créations graphiques et calligraphiques pour des institutions culturelles françaises, palestiniennes et arabes. Parmi ses réalisations figurent notamment les œuvres calligraphiques du Mahmoud Darwish Museum ainsi que le minaret de la mosquée de Choisy-le-Roi, en région parisienne.L’œuvre d’Ahmed Dari se distingue par sa capacité à introduire une dimension contemporaine au sein de la calligraphie arabe, à travers une recherche esthétique fondée sur le mouvement de la lettre, le rythme visuel et l’harmonie des formes. Ahmed Dari, a Palestinian artist and calligrapher from Jerusalem, born in 1964, is considered one of the leading figures who contributed to the renewal of Arabic calligraphy and to its presence on both the Arab and European cultural scenes. He grew up in Damascus, where he completed his primary and secondary education amid the inspiring atmosphere of the Old City, which profoundly shaped his artistic sensitivity and his connection to Islamic art, particularly Arabic calligraphy.In 1985, he moved to France to pursue higher education. After studying French in Lyon, he joined the School of Fine Arts in Valence and later specialized in graphic arts, focusing particularly on visual identity and logo design.Throughout his artistic journey, Ahmed Dari developed a distinctive visual language rooted in the Arabic letterform, creating a unique style that bridges the elegance of traditional calligraphy with the spirit of contemporary art. He has organized numerous exhibitions and led Arabic calligraphy workshops for both children and adults in cultural centers, festivals, libraries, and art galleries across France and Europe, driven by his belief in the importance of calligraphy as a tool for cultural dialogue and intergenerational exchange.His long-standing friendship with the Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish deeply enriched his artistic universe, bringing a poetic and spiritual dimension to his work and giving Arabic calligraphy a renewed sense of elegance and vitality.Ahmed Dari is the author of several books on Arabic calligraphy published by renowned French publishing houses. أحمد داري، فنان وخطاط فلسطيني من مدينة القدس والمولود عام 1964، أحد أبرز الأسماء التي أسهمت في تجديد فن الخط العربي وإبراز حضوره على الساحة الثقافية العربية والأوروبية. نشأ في مدينة دمشق، حيث تلقّى تعليمه الأساسي والثانوي وسط أجواء المدينة القديمة التي تركت أثرًا عميقًا في حسّه الجمالي، وأسهمت في تشكيل علاقته المبكرة بالفنون الإسلامية، وعلى رأسها فن الخط العربي.في عام 1985 انتقل إلى فرنسا لمتابعة دراسته الجامعية، فبدأ رحلته الأكاديمية بتعلّم اللغة الفرنسية في مدينة ليون، قبل أن يلتحق بمدرسة الفنون الجميلة في فالونس، حيث تابع تخصّصه في الفنون البصرية والغرافيك، مع اهتمام خاص بتصميم الشعارات والهوية البصرية. كرّس أحمد داري مسيرته لتطوير لغة تشكيلية خاصة تنطلق من الحرف العربي، فابتكر أسلوبًا متفرّدًا يجمع بين أصالة الخط العربي وروح الحداثة المعاصرة. وقد نظّم العديد من المعارض وورشات الخط العربي للأطفال والكبار في المراكز الثقافية والمهرجانات والمكتبات وصالات العرض في فرنسا وأوروبا، إيمانًا منه بالدور الحضاري لهذا الفن في تعزيز الحوار الثقافي والتقارب بين الشعوب والأجيال. وقد شكّلت صداقته الطويلة مع الشاعر الفلسطيني الكبير محمود درويش مصدر إلهام مهم في تجربته الفنية، حيث أضفت أعماله بُعدًا شعريًا وروحيًا جديدًا على فن الخط العربي، ومنحت الحرف أناقة وحيوية معاصرة. ألّف داري عددًا من الكتب المتخصصة في الخط العربي، صدرت عن دور نشر فرنسية مرموقة، كما أنجز تصاميم وشعارات وأعمالًا خطية لمؤسسات ومتاحف فرنسية وفلسطينية وعربية، من أبرزها الأعمال الخطية التي تزين، مئذنة مسجد شوازي لو روا في ضواحي باريس. كذلك الألواح الزجاجية بخطوطه في متحف محمود درويش في مدينة رام الله. تميّزت تجربة أحمد داري بقدرته على إدخال الحداثة إلى فن الخط العربي، عبر توظيف حركة الحروف والإيقاع البصري بأسلوب مبتكر، ما جعله من الفنانين القلائل الذين أسهموا في فتح آفاق جمالية جديدة لهذا الفن العريق.ويؤمن داري بأن الحضور الثقافي الفلسطيني في أوروبا يشكّل ركيزة أساسية للتأثير الحضاري، خاصة من خلال الانخراط في المشهد الثقافي المحلي وتعزيز قيم الحوار والانفتاح، انطلاقًا من قناعته بأن المشروع الثقافي الفلسطيني يبقى أحد أبرز وجوه الحضور الفلسطيني عالميًا.ويواصل اليوم نشاطه الفني من خلال تقديم ورشات متخصصة في الخط العربي، إلى جانب ابتكار عروض فنية حيّة تمزج الخط بالموسيقى والرقص والضوء، في تجربة بصرية معاصرة تحتفي بالحرف العربي وتعيد اكتشافه باستمرار
